I finally managed to make it to this fine institution located right across the Seine from the Cathedral of Notre Dame, in the Latin quarter. Though the photo above is of the book antiquariat, the more well known English-language bookshop is right next door.

I managed to hang out there on the second floor for about an hour, just reading and experiencing the vibe of the place. There were places to sit everywhere: chairs, rocking chairs, old theatre chairs, even a nice seat long enough to have a nap on … Though it was pretty quiet, every so often you’d have someone walk by, flip though one or two books and then deftly start taking photos. This was pretty much the norm! And of course I had to join in on the fun.
