Abroad in Paris. Putting the è in Agnès.
Sleeping girl. Rodin Museum.
I need to take a nap — but alas, I am about a week behind with updating my posts!
I visited la Musée de Rodin last Tuesday. The day was quite gray, but the gardens and collections were still quite inspiring. Apart from seeing the Thinking Man — and subsequent miniature versions, I really enjoyed the breadth of Rodin’s work.
Apart from this study of the sleeping girl, I really enjoyed his studies of hands. I’ve always found drawing hands to be a great sketching excercise, so I managed to hang out here for a bit — drawing off of Rodin’s work as a model. It was pretty grand!
Oh, and while I was there I caught a glimpse of a teensy part of fashion week. They’d managed to set up the tent rigth in the middle of the garden …
